- Explain electrical system components and units in conjunction with system drawings.
- Explain the function of electrical components and the way in which they can be assembled.
- Identify components and systems to meet required functions.
- Evaluate the extent of work to be carried out.
- Describe the current legistation and codes of practice relating to electrical equipment and systems.
- Carry out a risk assessment by listing the procedures and requirement for setting up safe working conditions.
- Analyse manufacture's information , related work records, circuit diagrams and other necessary data.
- Identify tools and equipment .
- Prepare works orders or requisitions.
- Carry out inspection.
- Conduct diagnosis and carry out repairs.
- Comlete maintenance record.
- Re commissions the system and adjust as required to working parameters.
- Restore work area to a cleaan and safe conditions upon completion of maintenance.
- Classify hazardous substance and the state the approved method of disposal.
- Produce a report to record the actions taken during hand over.
